Tips and recommendations

Access to Office 365 through the employee portal

The Employee Portal (muni.cz) clearly brings together the agenda across various university systems (IS, Inet, Office 365). On the portal homepage, you can, for example, preview your Office 365 calendar and mail. You can also easily access documents stored on your personal OneDrive storage.

Save Office documents to OneDrive and SharePoint automatically

Office documents created on OneDrive or SharePoint are automatically saved when you make any edits to the document. The corresponding icon indicates the automatic saving in the top left corner of the respective application (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). For documents saved in this way, you can also view the history of previous versions.

Collaboration on Office documents in real-time

You can collaborate on Office documents in real time with other users who have access to the documents. The activity of other users is displayed directly on the document.

Office 365 in Microsoft Edge

Microsoft Edge is the default browser for the Windows operating system and is closely integrated with Office 365. You can log in to the browser with your university profile (UČO@muni.cz). Once you're logged in, you'll get quick access to your mail, calendar, and Office documents on the home page. Logging in with your Microsoft University Profile also allows you to synchronise your history and saved passwords across devices.

Office 365 on a mobile device

The Office mobile app brings together Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneDrive and other data stored in Office 365. The app can also scan physical documents, spreadsheets and QR codes.
