Libraries and Publishing

MU libraries form a network of faculty libraries, the University Campus Library, the Teiresias Library, the Telč University Centre Library, the Library Systems and Open Science Department at the Institute of Computer Science, and numerous specialized and departmental libraries located across more than 40 sites in Brno. Coordination is provided by the MU Libraries Coordination Committee.

Electronic information resources represent an electronic version of a variety of academic magazines, bibliographies, encyclopaedias, information databases and other materials, which are available to all MU students and staff.

Due to the number of published titles, Masaryk University is among the most productive publishers of academic and scientific literature in the Czech Republic. More than 400 book titles and 50 scholarly and student magazines are published each year.

Published books, journals and articles can be stored in the university digital libraries, as well as photographies and other documents. Documents can be digitized at the Faculty of Arts and Teiresiás center.
