Libraries and Publishing
The operation of libraries is partially relaxed. However, movement through university buildings and premises is still limited. More information about the operation of libraries is available here.
Masaryk University does not have one central library. The library infrastructure at MU includes 9 faculty libraries, a central specialised library TEIRESIAS (for students with special needs) and a number of other partial or specialised libraries found in more than 40 different locations in Brno and one work centre in Telč. Coordination and technical support of MU libraries is secured by MU Library Information Centre.
Electronic Information Resources
Electronic information resources represent an electronic version of a variety of academic magazines, bibliographies, encyclopaedias, information databases and other materials, which are available to all MU students and staff.
Due to the number of published titles, Masaryk University is among the most productive publishers of academic and scientific literature in the Czech Republic. More than 400 book titles and 50 scholarly and student magazines are published each year.
Digital Libraries and Digitization
Published books, journals and articles can be stored in the university digital libraries, as well as photographies and other documents. Documents can be digitized at the Faculty of Arts and Teiresiás center.
