Instructions: Engage in communication across the university
As the university’s internal communication network, Muni Yammer is the ideal place for discussion and sharing and communicating information. Learn to use it effectively for collaboration and communication with your colleagues.
Engage in discussions
Users can start a conversation under every post in Muni Yammer. Simply click on Reply.
Publish informative posts
Publish posts on topics that your colleagues might find interesting and that will allow you to engage in a clearly organised discussion. Are you organising an event that could be interesting for all Masaryk University employees? Are you working on something exciting for the whole university? This is the type of information that is perfect for posting on Muni Yammer.
To publish a post in a group, you will first need to select the group. Enter your post into the text field on the top of the group page. You can also choose to add files (photos, videos, etc.), topics or a link to a relevant website. When your post is ready, you can publish it by clicking on Post.
NB: Before posting your message, please use the search function (top left of the screen) to make sure that there is no similar post or question in the group already. For more information on communication guidelines, please see the Muni Yammer Etiquette Guide.
Share posts with other groups and people
Yammer allows you to share content, including group discussion threads, conversations, and private messages. To share content, click on Share under the content you would like to share.
In the window that opens, choose whether you would like to share the content with a whole group or with a specific person. Afterwards, select the group or colleague. You can also add your own message or another file. When you are ready, click on Share.
Conversations, links, and private messages can all be shared following the steps above. All content that can be shared has a clickable Share button below it.
