3D Print

Basic and Advanced Print Parameters

Material

The printer does not support any material other than PLA.

Print quality

Specifies the height of the print layer. By using a lower value, finer details of the resulting model are achieved, however, the print time will be significantly longer.

Print speed

It is an important parameter if we want to achieve a high level of detail. Fast printing is particularly suited to design printing, while slow printing achieves a high level of detail, but at a cost of a significant increase in print time.

Supports

With this setting, you enable the automatic generation of print supports if they are needed (automatically determined by the application). They are especially suitable for printing models with overhangs and the like. It is important to check in GCODE after sending if the supports were generated correctly.

Face thickness Specifies the thickness of the exterior faces of the model and defines the strength of the model.
Top full layers Number of layers on the top (end) of the model.
Bottom full layers The amount of layers at the bottom of the model.
Fill density (%)

The fill determines the strength of the model. For higher strength, set a higher value, which significantly increases material consumption and print time.

Type of supports Grid - creates a grid under the model, lines - linear structures. The grid is suitable for long, narrow models and is harder to remove.

Angle for supports creation (°)

Supports will be printed only if the angle between the object and the pad is lower than defined.
Supports density (%)

Specifies the print density of the supports. Higher value will provide smaller gaps when printing the supports, but will prolong time and increase material consumption. Higher values are recommended when printing long thin supports to prevent them from collapsing.

Supports everywhere Supports are only generated between the model and the pad or according to the Angle for supports creation setting.
Initial structure The starting pad helps improve the adhesion of the model. Brim - adds a one-layer flat area around the base of the model to stabilize it. Raft - Creates a stronger grid under the object and thus a strong base for the model.
Raft density (%) Specifies the amount of material used to print the raft.
Distance of first raft layer (mm) The setting determines how subtly the object is attached to the base.
Supports print speed (mm/s) The speed of printing the supports.
Fill print speed (mm/s) Print speed of internal parts of the model.
Use fan Switches the air cooling on and off.
External perimeter print speed (mm/s)

The speed of printing the external parts. Lower print speed can improve the quality and accuracy of surface printing.

Internal perimeter print speed (mm/s) Speed of printing the internal parts. Higher speed reduces print time.
Full layers print speed (mm/s) Print speed of the top and bottom layers of the model.
Temperature of the first nozzle (°) Main nozzle temperature (do not change).
Turn on the pad heating Be3D eDee does not use the pad heating technology, the object is gripped by glue.
Pad temperature (°C) Be3D eDee does not use this technology.
Room temperature

Specifies the temperature when the print chamber begins to cool (do not change).

Z axis offset during nozzle change (mm) Distance of printing head from pad when replacing filament.
Pulling the string before changing the nozzle (mm) Length of the shifted filament during replacement.
Pushing the string during recolouring the material (mm) Length of the shifted filament during colour change.
Layer print minimum time (s)

It is recommended to raise the value when printing small objects. It is especially suitable if the material is to cool before printing the next layer.

Angle of the fill formation (°) The fill will be generated according to the defined angle relative to the print pad.
Width of extrusion (mm) Thickness of the extruded material.
Thickness of the first layer Correctly chosen thickness can prevent the model from collapsing.
String retraction speed (mm/s) Filament retrieval speed.
String retraction length (mm/s) The length of pulling the filament before moving.
Supports distance from model in X, Y axes (mm)

Distance of the supports from the model. Higher value ensures easier removal of supports from the finished model, but the surface under the supports will be of lower quality.

Supports distance from model in Z axis (mm) Distance of the supports from the model. Higher value ensures easier removal of supports from the finished model, but the surface under the supports will be of lower quality.
