ARTS Professional AV Recordings
This service is provided by the Faculty of Arts MUNI.
Various options of recording and processing are available to make a professional recording of events associated with education and research at the Masaryk University.
Basic recording and processing
This type of recording is suitable for recording lectures, conferences and other similar events, where 1 or 2 persons speak. Furthermore, it can be used to record the output from teaching.
The video is recorded using a single camera. The audio is recorded using a wireless lavalier or directional microphone. If necessary, it is possible to provide a collar or hand-held microphone. Please, let us know what your preferences are.
Subsequently, the recording will be processed and made available in the Medial faculty media library. The recording can also be copied to your storage or external hard drive. If you require so, please, include your preference in the request form.
Extended recording and processing
This type of recording is suitable for talks, debates and speeches of more than 3 people at once. Recordings from multiple cameras are also suitable, if the speeches are part of the output from teaching.
The video is recorded using 2 to 5 cameras. The audio is recorded using directional microphones. It is also possible to use hand-held, lavalier or collar microphones. Please, let us know what your preferences are.
Subsequently, the recording will be processed and made available in the Medial faculty media library. The recording can also be copied to your storage or external hard drive. If you require so, please, include your preference in the request form.
Only recording
If you only need to make the recording and do not require processing, please, indicate this when completing the request form.
Have your own storage or external hard drive ready for the video studio engineers to copy the recordings when they are ready.

Conditions for providing the services
The service is provided primarily to the employees of the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University, or those who represent them. The possibility of professional recording applies only to events directly related to education and/or research, performed by the employee in the framework of their job at the Faculty of Arts MUNI. For example, you can record lectures by guest experts, keynote speeches at conferences, interviews with celebrities or outputs from the teaching and research.
The exception is normal teaching. If you are interested in recording regular lectures, we recommend booking a classroom with the possibility of automatic recording.
Please, send your request for recording using the form at least one week in advance. You will be asked to complete the request with the details that we need to acquire and process the recording. The details are specified in the form. After submitting your request, please, wait for the confirmation e-mail from the video studio staff. They will confirm that the recording can be made and ask for more information, if necessary.
GDPR-related requirements should be addressed by the person who orders the service. The video studio can refuse the recording for capacity reasons.
If the event does not take place or recording cannot be made for reasons on your side, please inform the video studio as soon as possible. If the event is to take place in a room which enables automatic recording, please, consider whether such output may be sufficient for your purposes. If so, please, book such a classroom.
