Dear colleagues,

We want to present our work for the past year, 2022. The main goals of 2022 included the following points:

  • Replacement of 2x SMART Boards in the Faculty of Science assembly hall with touch TVs
  • Establishment of a computing virtual server for the Department of Mathematics
  • Sharp operation of the
  • Central administration - established cooperation with CIT Central Library of the Faculty of Science
  • Information security policy - HR AWARD - writing of IT security policy
  • Enabling building access via employee or ISIC cards for staff and students - automatic group filling from MUNI IS. Cooperation with FI and SB of the Faculty of Science
  • Acquisition of new barcode scanners for asset registration. Commissioning, testing and distribution to target workplaces
  • Implementation of the Dean's Office MyQ printing solution at the Kotlářská and UKB sites (purchase of a new multifunction printer).
  • Tender for ESET license renewal for some MUNI centres
  • IC2 - a new classroom in place of the former Internet Club for teaching the subject Multimedia in Education.
  • Purchase of 5x FDM 3D printers and 1x SLA 3D printer
  • Participation in the NPO SC A2 Project - Development in distance learning, online learning and blended learning - e-learning 3D printing
  • Participation in NPO Project SC A2 - Development in distance learning, online learning and blended learning - e-learning video editing
  • Conversion of student catalogues to new design
  • Preparation of IS data for analysis of TSP and discipline dependencies. On the success rate of studies after the first year
  • Completion of migration of existing mailboxes to o365 and conversion of mail to o365 - UKB synergy
  • 3D printing of advertising materials for MJUNI and the MU Faculty of Science Christmas party
  • Active participation in the Czech European Researchers' Night (workshop)
  • Migration of IT technology in meeting rooms to central administration
  • Publication of regular departmental reports on the OIKT website and MU Portal
  • Installation of AV equipment and change of organisation in the upper meeting room at Kotlářská
  • Start of the "Did you know..." series - information on the Portal
  • Creating a recommended computer setup guide for new hires
  • Transfer of experience in Valencia under the Erasmus+ programme
  • Unification of the email aliases of the individual IT Administrators and integration into the Quick Contacts on the web
  • Collaboration on the development of the Adaptation Process application in Inet
  • Training on the recording studio for Dept. External relations, communication and marketing
  • Configuration of an online birdhouse camera for the Botanic Garden with enhanced network security, consultation with CSIRT, setup of streaming across two platforms
  • Ensuring the assembly/installation of a new server for the DUHA access control system + UTP new cabling to the server
  • Increased network security by introducing new access rules on three segments of the MU network
  • Installation of new UPS (Building 7, Building 2, Building 3)
  • Coordination of TexLive installation on the web server for faculty timetable creation
  • Improvement of Wi-Fi signal coverage in Building 8 - monitoring and signal analysis - cooperation with IST and Ing. Bill from IMS
  • Setting up status emails for continuous service and toner ordering for non-RICOH serviced multifunction printers
