Who We Are and What We Do?
We are part of the IT community of Masaryk University. We are in charge of local IT support at the Faculty of Social Studies, administration of faculty infrastructure and domain fss.muni.cz. In our work, we apply the recommendations and best practices of the standard for the management of information technology services. We are involved in the creation of the Services Catalogue and the university Helpdesk. The IT community brings a strong synergy effect in addressing user requirements and IT development at MU.
We provide services for employees and students, install and operate student and employee computers, prepare and install software installations, provide testing in computer labs.
We operate faculty infrastructure, we take care of computer network, servers, network services.
We take care of audiovisual equipment in lecture rooms and auditoriums and at events in Atrium or other places of FSS. AV equipment can be ordered from us, we will lend it to you, but only in the faculty premises.
We are also involved in scheduling. Using the UniTime program, in cooperation with departmental schedulers, we prepare schedules. We insert it into IS and coordinate the use of FSS premises for teaching and events approved by the faculty management.
