ARTS Borrowing Equipment
The Faculty of Arts of the Masaryk University has extra equipment for online teaching (webcams, headsets with microphone) for you to borrow. We provide this electronic equipment for a maximum of 7 days to teachers who request it. However, the number of devices is limited, therefore, please, submit your requests in advance. This equipment can only be borrowed for online teaching purposes. We also offer several tablets for lending, which can be borrowed for a longer period than the announced 7 days (upon agreement).
Who can borrow the equipment?
We offer the service exclusively to the academic workplaces of the Faculty of Arts MUNI that need the devices for the purposes of online teaching. CIT FF cannot lend these devices to employees of other faculties.
What kind of equipment is available?
Webcams, headphones, microphones
Webcams and headsets with microphones (for USB connection). Enter the requested devices in the request form, we will arrange the details with you.
How do I borrow the equipment?
You can request a webcam or headset with a microphone via the form. The equipment can be borrowed for a maximum of 7 days.
Once we approve your request and confirm that the required equipment is available, you can pick it up at CIT FoA from our technicians.
Tablets
Apple iPad tablets are available in E-learning Office.
How do I borrow tablets?
Tablets can be borrowed from the CIT FF E-learning Office (to book, use the page Mobile Device Loans, where you can find links to reservation system, which allows you to pick your exact appointment date).
Unlike webcams and headsets, the rental period is not limited to seven days. You can arrange the exact date of return with the E-Learning Office employee at the time of collecting the tablet.
Tablets can be borrowed also by the students who need it for their study purposes.
AV equipment
Audiovisual equipment can be borrowed from the CIT FF Video Studio. For details, see the page Rental of AV Equipment.
Lending equipment to those in need:
The Central Library of the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University offers students facing hardship the possibility to borrow equipment.
It is currently possible to borrow:
- laptops
- tablets
- graphic tablets
- headsets with microphones
- web cameras

Do you want your own equipment?
If you need to purchase your own equipment at the expense of your workplace, we can recommend cameras and microphones we have good experience with as an IT workplace and which are available in a reasonable price range. Please, consult the page Recommended Equipment for Online Teaching and Exams.
