How to hide and hide activities in ELF?

If students contact you saying they don't see content in a course, the cause may be a hidden activity or the entire course. ELF allows instructors to hide content as needed - for example, if you want to prepare materials in advance or make assignments available at specific times.

1. Check the visibility of the course

• Go to Course Management.
• Verify that the course is marked as visible.
• If it is set to Hide, change it to Show and save your changes.

2. Check individual activities and sections

• Turn on Edit Mode.
• For each activity or section, click Edit.
• If the activity is hidden, select Show.

3. Test the course as a student

• In the upper right corner, switch to View as student.
• Make sure the content is visible.

You can also use hiding content in a targeted way-for example, to prepare new material or restrict access to assignments until students are ready for them. If the issue cannot be resolved, contact ELF Technical Support: elf@phil.muni.cz.
