Tip #1 Recommendations for Conducting Lectures in Teams

Whether you are a professional in teaching through MS Teams or just starting, we recommend looking at the page with instructions and tips for creating and conducting lectures and seminars in the Teams.

Tip #2 Tweaks and New Improvements in MS Teams

Repetition is the mother of wisdom (and immortal clichés), so if you missed our previous tips on making teaching and learning better through MS Teams, look at some of them below.

  • Engage your students and embellish your presentations
  • Do you like to draw? Take advantage of the improved Whiteboard and make your teaching a little bit more special
  • Make it easier to divide participants in Breakout rooms

Tip #3 Where are the Recordings Stored?

Let's repeat that compared to the previous semester, you will find recordings from Teams in your OneDrive repository, and in the case of a team meeting, in your SharePoint. See an earlier published article for more information about the change in saving recordings.

Tip #4 Share Content Using your Camera

A piece of pleasant news is sharing content (for example, if you draw on a blackboard in your study/room) using a camera! It will surprise you with detailed focus and quite good transfer to screens.

How to do it? Simply - in the Share content section, select the Camera content option below (see pictures).

Tip #5 Be Interactive and Use Apps in Meetings outside the Team

Engage your students and take advantage of adding apps in meetings outside the team. We recommend, for example, the Forms questionnaire with multiple voting options or the Questions and Answers application, using which you can start a discussion or ask a question (see picture). Remember that it is better to use the MS Teams application rather than the web version for a smooth process.

TIP

If you are hosting a larger lecture, you can select the question from the plenary that you want everyone to see when setting permissions.
