Instructions: Connecting to eduVPN on Windows
The following steps require you to have administrator rights to install new programs. For centrally managed computers, you must perform the installation through the Software Center.

Install the Windows version of the official eduVPN app from the attached link.

The app will redirect you to the university Unified Login (id.muni.cz), where you log in using you UČO and primary password.

After successfully logging in, you will be redirected to the eduVPN portal (eduvpn.muni.cz), where you need to give approval using the Approve button.

Go back to the eduVPN app, where by clicking the added Masaryk University institution you will be redirected to a screen with available profiles. Choose one of them.
The screen with profiles selection on the picture may not be shown to users with only one available profile, as it is chosen automatically.

The VPN connection can be activated and deactivated by clicking the switch.
By default, the instution login will expire after 5 month and it is neccessary to log in again. The eduVPN app will notify you before expiring. The login can be renewned with the Renew Session option.
If you need to use eduVPN only through TCP, go to the settings by clicking the gear icon in the upper right and there check the Prefer TCP connection option. To apply changes switch your profile off and back on.
You can also check Start on sign-on, to activate VPN connection with starting up the computer.
Please only use the VPN connection for as long as necessary.

If you can't connect, see the list of common problems. Also remember to set up your firewall correctly to allow VPN connections, i.e. UDP port 443 and TCP port 443.
