Office for Information and Communications Technologies – Faculty of Science

Dear colleagues,

in the following year, 2026, we will focus on the following points:

• Continued implementation of the inhouse Office work mode
• Continuing the implementation of the in-house Office regime and hardware renewal for the transition to WIN 11 at the dean's office
• Continuing the transfer of existing websites to the university-wide UMBRACO or cPanel solution
• Completing the migration of existing mailboxes to M365
• Management of network elements in cooperation with ÚVT and proposal for the renewal of CISCO elements
• Continuation of the implementation of central management at the institutes in the Kotlářská campus
• Cooperation in AI and VR teaching
• Transition to inventory of network elements and servers - Asset management - Netbox application
• Implementation of the Zabbix system for securing UPS, servers, and related infrastructure
• Unification and standardization of classrooms: Includes setting up uniform procedures, rules for substitutability, software unification, management of room access, passwords, and room occupancy
• Management and optimization of network elements in cooperation with ÚVT
• Migration of employee PCs to the private segment and to the new SCCM
• Cooperation on the offboarding process
