Once again, there has been a wave of fraudulent emails to faculty emails. Always keep an eye on who the email is from, check for typos in the email address, and under no circumstances click on the link or open attachments. Please forward all suspicious emails to the MU Cybersecurity Team at csirt@muni.cz.
An actual example of a fraudulent email going into employees' inboxes these days is shown below.

Dochází k přetížení kvůli anonymní registraci webmailových účtů SCI MUNI. Z tohoto důvodu aktualizujeme všechny účty webové pošty, abychom zabránili provozu v doručování zpráv. Pokud stále chcete používat svůj e-mailový účet, okamžitě svůj účet ověřte.
Nyní musíte kliknout sem, abyste potvrdili svůj webový účet.
Pozornost! Každý držitel webového účtu SCI MUNI, který odmítne aktualizovat svůj účet po obdržení tohoto e-mailu, trvale ztratí svůj účet.

Do you have an IT problem or a general tech question? Contact the OIKT (Office for Information and Communications Technologies) via the new email it@sci.muni.cz. The original address - ovt@sci.muni.cz - will still be operational for a temporary period.
Do not open the email or any URL addresses or even enter your personal data. These emails are phishing emails. This is a fraudulent email. If you have already done so, change your passwords immediately. A preview of the email is provided in the news.
