Other Recommendations |
Always treat your primary password with extreme caution, especially not to share it with another person and do not send it in an unsecured way (for example, by e-mail). |
Choose a password other than primary. The secondary password can be sent by some systems over the network in unencrypted form, and therefore it is considered less secure. |
IS administrators and other university staff never require sharing password via e-mail communication. If you receive a request to send a password via e-mail or to enter a page other than IS or MUNI Unified Login, it is very likely that someone is attempting to lure your password.
Do not save your password to your browser (option "Remember password" after entering your login information). If you enable this option, anyone who comes to your computer during your absence will be able to use your password and log into your Information System.
