ARTS Decommissioning IT Devices

When IT equipment at the department reaches the end of its service life, it can be put out of use and handed over for professional disposal. 

Request to decommission devices

To put a device out of use, please, first download and fill in the form. After submitting the form to cit-servis@phil.muni.cz , you can expect one of our technicians to come and check the condition of the device. Afterwards, you will receive the form with the reasons for decommissioning the device. Based on the opinion, your department will prepare a record of decommissioning and hand it over to the Finance Office.

Handover of devices

The device that has been put out of service should be handed over to the CIT FF technicians. CIT FF sends the collected electric and electronic waste to an expert company for environmentally friendly disposal usually once a year.
