FF Course usage reports in the ELF system
This service is provided by FF MU
Teachers can request the creation of a course usage report for their e-courses in the ELF faculty system. This report will provide them with information on how learners are using their courses.
What the usage overview looks like
The report currently takes the form of a PDF document that summarizes and visualizes data about learner activity in a course. The report covers the following areas:
- Learner activity rate in the course over the course of the semester,
- learner activity rate in the course over the course of the week,
- discussion forum usage (how many posts were made in each forum, how many learners viewed each forum),
- attendance at study materials,
- summary of tests in the course.
How to get the course overview
The course overview will be generated by the CIT FF e-Learning Office on request. You can contact them using the attached form or via e-mail elf@phil.muni.cz.
In your request, always specify for which course you want the report to be generated (course name or course ID) and in which semester the course was taught.
Please note: The report now summarizes information for the entire semester - for this reason, it can only be generated for courses that have already had a regular teaching period. For example, a report for a course used in the Spring 2025 semester can only be generated after the start of the Spring 2025 semester credit week.
How to interpret the information in the overview
The course usage overview is informative, not primarily evaluative. The information it contains should be interpreted in the context of the course, its design and the intentions with which it was used.
If you have additional questions about the Usage Overview or its interpretation, you may schedule a consultation with the Office of E-Learning staff.
Terms of service
- The applicant must be the teacher of the course for which the report is to be generated.
