Network File-Storage


Instruction: Connecting MU Network Storage to Windows

The central repository is available only from the MU network. Access from the external network is possible using the MU VPN.

In the Start menu, type File Explorer into the search box and press Enter.

In File Explorer, click This PC, then the three dots in the upper-right corner, and select Map network drive.

In the Drive field, select any available drive letter (e.g., O:, Z:) to map the network drive to. 
Type (or copy from here) the network storage path
\\ha-bay.ics.muni.cz\share
into the Folder field and click Finish.

Note: If you want the drive to remain connected, check the Reconnect at sign-in checkbox.

Click More options.

Note: If you are prompted to enter a username and password, proceed to step 6.

Select the option Use a different account.

Enter the username in the format UCN\UČO and use the secondary password.

Note: If you don't want to re-enter the password every time you connect, check Remember my credentials

After successful login, the folder structure on the connected network drive will be displayed.
