Learn how to work with the new O365 tools in the March workshops
In March, we have a series of online workshops on Microsoft 365 tools.
Turnitin, the company that runs the Ouriginal anti-plagiarism program (formerly known as Urkund), has decided to completely shut down the program. After August 2025, it will no longer be possible to check submitted texts using the Ouriginal software, which the faculty has used since 2015. The service's connection to ELF will end on June 30, 2025 - after that date, it will not be possible to submit texts for analysis or access similarity reports.
We recommend that you download all necessary PDF reports before this date (see instructions in the Urkunddocs documentation). As of the 2025/2026 academic year, the ELF faculty e-learning system will no longer include any integrated plagiarism detection tool.
Instead of Ouriginal, you can use the "Like eggs to eggs" tool in the IS MU, which allows you to search for similarities in texts. It is available directly in the university information system and can be used for an indicative check of the originality of papers. As the technological possibilities of plagiarism detection are constantly evolving, it is still important to focus on the development of academic integrity and a responsible approach to writing academic texts.
