You will receive, as a full-time student, an ISIC student card when you enter the MUNI. With it, you can borrow books, get lots of different discounts, access to many university buildings and rooms or pay with it. Using the ISIC card, you can pay for accommodation, meals in the canteens, and print services, but this is not just one account. ISIC serves as a payment card for two accounts.
SUPO Account – You Can Pay for Print Services or Accommodation
You can pay for accommodation at the dormitories, print services, and purchases at the MU Shopping Center through the SUPO MU account (abbreviation for the system of payment of claims for persons of Masaryk University). You activate it manually in the INET MU by confirming the terms and conditions and depositing the first amount in your account (minimum 50 CZK). SUPO is recharged with money via bank transfers, direct debit, postal order, top-up machines, and, exceptionally, through MU cash desks.
Top-up machines are large boxes hanging on the wall, thanks to which you can immediately transfer money to your SUPO account. After putting the ISIC card on the box, you put money into the box, which will be immediately loaded into your account. However, the top-up machine only accepts paper money, not coins. There are 16 of them in Brno, and all of them are located in university buildings, most often in libraries, study rooms, and dormitories.
Credit – When Hunger Can Be No Longer Stand
There is no need to manually activate anything to pay for meals in MUNI canteens. An account is created automatically when you become a university student with an active ISIC card. To manage your account, to see prices and menus and to create orders, you can use online applications WebKredit or MobilKredit, or also scanners in canteens. You can deposit money to the account through cash desks in canteens or by transfer from the SUPO account. However, it is important to link these two accounts.
