Instructions: Manual eduVPN Configuration on Windows

Install the Wireguard application from the official Wireguard website or by clicking the direct link.

Open the installed Wireguard app, in the left bottom corner click on the Add Tunnel button a choose Add empty tunnel….

Delete the current content and replace it with the text from your configuration file. To get the configuration file, follow the linked instructions.

Name the new tunnel and click on Save.

Activate the added tunnel using the Activate button.
The tunnel can deactivated by clicking Deactivate. In the Peer section, you can see information about the connection.

Install the OpenVPN application from the official OpenVPN website or by clicking the direct link.

Open the installed OpenVPN application. A notification should show that it is active.
Right-click the OpenVPN icon in the taskbar and pick Import and then Import from file…

Select the downloaded OpenVPN configuration file from your files and open it. To get the configuration file, follow the linked instructions.

Connect with the Connect button and disconnect with the Disconnect button.
Please only use the VPN connection for as long as necessary.
Having trouble connecting?
If you can't connect, see the list of common problems. Also remember to set up your firewall correctly to allow VPN connections, i.e. UDP port 443 and TCP port 443.
