A look back at the E-learning in Practice 2025 conference
This year's E-learning in Practice IV showed how technology can be used meaningfully to support teaching. In a panel discussion on AI in education, students pointed out that there is still a lack of clear rules for the use of artificial intelligence in study processes.
The section on sharing good practices brought news in assessment and assignment setting: an effective model for assessing student work was presented, as well as an environment for creating non-linear stories that enable interactive and creative teaching and promote authenticity.
In the section on the unconventional use of Moodle, an inspiring experience from the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen was shared, where Moodle serves as a space for student portfolios — which can also be used for state exams. Moodle also functions as a central space for teachers, who use it to collect their documents and professional materials.
The presentation from the CIT FF e-learning office included practical tools for course creation: the H5P module, automatic course reports, and examples of good practice for creating high-quality e-learning.
Examples from Apple emphasized that technology should be based on user needs — teaching should not be adapted to technology, but technology to teaching.
We look forward to meeting again next year — once again during the autumn reading week.
