Thanks to the new contract for mobile telecommunications services, MU employees will get larger data packages and more convenient calls for less money. Vodafone's new tariffs start on 1 December.
The main change is that employees using the basic tariff with a 1.5 GB data package will automatically be upgraded to 3G. The overall discounting of other data packages is also positive news, as is the small but pleasing reduction in the price of calls and SMS. The newly negotiated terms and conditions will thus reduce the University's overall telecommunications costs.
