ARTS Live Streaming Classroom

Classroom streams using Medial are currently not working. You can now stream via OBS or you can use the Live Event in MS Teams. We're are working on the fix.

Some multimedia classrooms are equipped with devices that allow live broadcasting of lectures, conferences or other events on the internet. This way, you can make larger events available to people who cannot participate directly for capacity reasons. Stream can be set up in two ways: in the Medial faculty media library or directly on a computer in the classroom, using the OBS program.

Streaming in Medial

Streaming in Medial should be set up beforehand by the E-learning Office staff; it is necessary to contact them with the request well in advance. If you want to display a brief description of the streamed event in your stream, include it in the text of your request.

Stream in Medial will be displayed on the live stream page. The stream may be publicly accessible, limited only to logged in users or password-protected.

Streaming on Facebook or Youtube

The other option allows live streaming on Facebook, Youtube and some other popular platforms. It uses OBS (Open Broadcaster Software), already pre-installed and pre-set on classroom computers.

Streaming using OBS is set up by the users directly on the computer in the classroom, there is no need to ask for starting it up. Users can ask the E-learning Office staff for a quick training.
