EOSC-Life Helpdesk

This Personal Data Protection Notice explains how are treated data by which you can be personally identified (“personal data”) during the provision of help desk support service. This service is operated by Masaryk University (“We”), and therefore Information on MU Processing and Protection of Personal Data (https://www.muni.cz/en/about-us/official-notice-board/personal-data-protection) applies with following specifications.

We collect and process your personal data to provide you Help Desk support and answer your queries about the services provided by EOSC-Life (see art. 5 letter c) v. of the Information on MU Processing and Protection of Personal Data). For that purpose, we need to process following personal data to identify you and to contact you during the process of providing the service:

• Name
• E-mail Address
• IP Address
• Timestamp

We process your personal data on the legal base of contract performance. We need to process your personal data to be able to provide you with the help desk service you have requested. Later, we archive your personal data together with the record of your query which is necessary for our legitimate interest of allowing the day-to-day management, operation and functioning of EOSC-Life services and the Help Desk service itself (see art. 8 of the Information on MU Processing and Protection of Personal Data).

We do not transfer your Personal Data to third countries outside of the EU, EEA or . Your personal data may be transferred to the international organisation EMBL-EBI. Your personal data may also be transferred, when it is necessary, to our partners, who will provide you with additional support and answer your queries about the specific service provided by EOSC-Life through them. An indicative list of subjects, mostly members of the EOSC Life consortium, to whom can your personal data be transferred, is the following:

• IT Center for Science (CSC), Finland
• Institute of Biomembranes and Bioenergetics and Italian National Research Council, Italy (CNR)
• German Network for Bioinformatics Infrastructure, Germany (NBI)
• Members of the e-INFRA CZ consortium (see: https://www.e-infra.cz/)
