ARTS Security at Exams
A secure exam mode is available for electronic tests using computers in the Faculty of Arts study rooms. Students have to log in under a special account and work in a limited environment that minimises the possibility of cheating.
What exam accounts are available at the Faculty of Arts?
The account is suitable for tests in other systems than ELF (e.g., MUNI IS).
After you log in, only the secure internet browser will be running in fullscreen mode. The home page will be set to ELF, however, connection to the internet will not be limited (you can navigate outside ELF, e.g., using a link located in one of the courses).
The account is suitable for writing essays, which can be submitted as a task in ELF afterwards. There is an online storage available where you can upload the assignment for students and where copies of student’s papers will be transferred.
After you log in, the secure internet browser and MS Word processor will be running. The connection to the internet will be limited to the e-learning courses in ELF.
Technical and methodological assistance
The E-learning Office staff provides technical and methodological assistance to teachers who use the e-testing. This includes:
- consulting the correct settings and security for testing in ELF;
- model performance of the secure test mode;
- uploading the file with the assignment to the online server for students to display (only for testing with Word);
- assistance with the technical procedure at the beginning of the test.
If you require assistance, please, contact us at least 3 days in advance, using the form (“Request assistance” button above). Please indicate the services you are interested in.
This service is provided by Centre for Information Technologies at the Faculty of Arts (CIT FF, MU).
