CIT Newsletter 1/2026: Testing MFA, Discontinuation of Certain Services, and More

Discontinuation of the Book and Document Digitization, Professional Streaming, and AV Equipment Rental Services

In the first quarter of the year, we discontinued several of the services we had been offering. Firstly, at the end of January, we removed “Book and Document Digitization” from our list of services; we are now only completing projects that were already in progress. We also discontinued our “Professional Streaming” and “AV Equipment Rental” services.

We are currently testing options for multi-factor authentication

We have begun testing multi-factor authentication for logging into systems at our faculty. We have launched the pilot program among CIT FF MU staff for now, but if you would also like to set up this security feature for your account, instructions are now available.

Last year, there were several changes to the software typically available on our faculty’s computers (or that can be installed through the Software Center). You can view the updated lists on the website.

New Ticketing system starting in January 2026

With the start of the new year, the ticketing system—which handles all messages submitted via the online form—has undergone a major overhaul. We are now using the Redmine platform, which, compared to the previous Trac system, offers a range of features that will help us manage reported issues more efficiently. For you as a user, however, nothing significant has changed—the main change on the user side is the format of the email messages sent by the system.

 

ELF H5P hotspot

The H5P hotspot feature allows you to turn ordinary images into interactive learning elements. Students can discover information and complete tasks by clicking on specific areas of the image.
