What is LINDAT/CLARIAH-CZ​

LINDAT/CLARIAH-CZ is a digital research infrastructure for language technologies, arts and humanities. It enables archiving, processing, management and accessibility of data, resources and tools from the fields of arts, humanities and social sciences.

The research infrastructure of LINDAT/CLARIAH-CZ has been formed by the decision of the Ministry, combining two prior infrastructures. The previous LINDAT/CLARIN infrastructure, which represents the Centre for Language Research Infrastructure in the Czech Republic, has been joined by DARIAH-CZ, Digital Research Infrastructure for the Arts and Humanities. Metadata is further passed from the national node to the pan-European node of DARIAH-EU.

What is DARIAH-EU​

DARIAH-EU is a European interdisciplinary network providing research infrastructure for arts and humanities. Since 2014, it has been built under the auspices of the ESFRI programme, established by the European Commission with the aim to ensure continuous and open access to the European cultural heritage. As of now, the network, which connects hundreds of researchers from research facilities across Europe, has 20 member countries with another 6 working in cooperation with this infrastructure.

DARIAH-EU provides digital tools and shares data as well as relevant know-how in an open way. It organizes educational events, such as workshops and summer schools, focused on digital research methods and offers training materials on a wide range of topics in Digital Humanities. It also addresses legal and ethical issues associated with the research use and sharing of scientific data.
