Zvyšte si zabezpečení univerzitních účtů pomocí vícefaktorového ověření
Multi-factor authentication* enhances the security of your data and all your online communications. This feature verifies your digital identity every time you log in using one-time codes you enter. These codes are displayed by the app on your device, which is linked to your login. This protects your account even from attackers who have somehow managed to obtain your password.
Here at CIT FF, we have switched to multi-factor authentication, thereby verifying the functionality of the procedures. We have also created a guide that you can use to easily switch to this new form of security within the university systems. If you need any help with the setup, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
By setting up multi-factor authentication, you will help the university meet its legal obligations. As an institution required by law to ensure that user accounts are fully secured and protected against future threats—which are becoming more sophisticated every year—the university is committed to this responsibility. These obligations stem from the Cybersecurity Act (No. 264/2025 Coll.), which implements the European NIS2 Directive (EU 2022/2555).
You can also find an explanation of multi-factor authentication and why to use it in the MUNI Cyber Compass, a course that will help you identify the risks to watch out for in cyberspace and how to handle data securely.
To simplify the process of setting up multi-factor authentication, we are also preparing workshops for you—you can already sign up for the first one, which will take place on April 30, 2026.
