No description

One of the many types of content you can create using the H5P module are Flashcards and Dialog cards. These bring simple but very effective interactive cards to your lessons – directly in ELF, free of charge and without the need to use external applications.

Flashcards

Flashcards are based on active recall. The student sees an image as a prompt, writes the answer themselves, and then checks it. This principle promotes deeper memorization and is ideal for practicing vocabulary, concepts, or basic facts.

Advantages of flashcards:

they promote active recall – students must actually create the answer, not just recognize it, ideal for vocabulary, concepts, definitions, or basic facts, simple and clear activity.

Dialog cards

Dialog cards work like double-sided cards: on one side is a question, concept, or phrase, and on the other is the correct answer or explanation. Thanks to the option of adding images or audio, they are suitable not only for language teaching, but also for other subjects and quick review of material.

Advantages of dialogue cards:

  • They work on the principle of rapid repetition and consolidation of knowledge.
  • They are suitable for concepts, questions and answers, translations, formulas, or facts.
  • The possibility of using images and audio supports different learning styles.
  • Very intuitive operation—turn the card over and check immediately.
  • Universal use across subjects and levels of study.

Together, they form a well-thought-out combination: Flashcards activate memory and independent thinking, while Dialog cards help reinforce understanding. The result is a clear, interactive, and student-friendly form of learning that fits naturally into the course structure.
